Gourmet Anyone?

A resplendent Saturday dinner.

Photo taken with my brand new Canon XSi

Beefaroni, canned corn, and leftover bacon. Ohh yeaah.

Doesn't this shot, not to mention this entire meal, remind you of
The Pioneer Woman?

Please, hold your applause. Really, it's not necessary. You'll only embarrass me. And no, we did not have guests. Just us chickens.

Next episode: Mary sitting on the toilet, groaning endlessly.

you let the corn touch the beefaroni!!! that is a huge no-no in our house! the foods cannot co-mingle!!
Why Mary...........you've outdone yourself girl!! Pot roasts are so over-rated aren't they? I'd rather spend quality time with the kiddos than hours in the kitchen burning food anyways.
Hey, beefaroni in an American kid staple that should be eaten and often!! If I "shared a sip" of my Corona before meals, my kiddos thought everything was delicious ya know?
So, that being said.....I am applauding you right now (can you hear me....I'm not kidding either)

Once I dumped a can of mushroom soup & some frozen peas in the hamburger helper. It was pretty awesome.

I had to read the words before I realized that was bacon. The corn and beefaroni, I got right away. I am smart like that. But the other thing on the plate kind of looks like a little chicken. A demented, mutant, chicken-pig, maybe??

Hey Mary,
Funny sidebar re: Pioneer Woman. Did you know she is from my home town and is the sister of Scandalous Housewife's own 'Budd Foxx'?
Yep, but she calls him her brother WDS.

As long as I didn't have to cook it looks delicious.
I am glad to see that I am not the only gourmet around here!

You should of had company, don't let that go to waste on just you guys.

LOL...Mary, thats BETTER than PW!

I was gonna say the same thing as kel...we have 'special' plates so no food cohabitates with another...I cant wait till they outgrow that stage

I agree it is important not to let the foods commingle.
Wow! I did not realize commingling of food was such a faux pas!! Where have I been all these years?! I thought it was just a 7- to 10-year-old kind of thing...

I'm going out right now to buy some of those special plates...Thanks everyone!

At least you have more in your fridge than a packet of ketchup and an onion to make dinner! Nice pic! Congrats on the new camera. That's always fun.. but please.. keep the self portraits of yourself on the toilet to yourself ;)

Looks great! My family would think I was a gourmet chef! Pizza rolls are a big deal around here!
I hope you had a bucket full of Tums? Just looking at that gave me heartburn. But the corn? Love me some canned corn.

Bravo! Looks delicious. When my husband goes out of town, we only eat meals from the same area of the color wheel... this is perfect. First time commenter... enjoying your blog :)
